Our Community

A diverse, vibrant active group of families, retirees, and community-minded people of diverse professions and passions share one thing in common: we love Orcas Island, we love Orcas Highlands, and we love being involved, participating individuals making sure this incredible place remains safe, beautiful and welcoming.

In that regard, community activities including the clearing of brush for fire mitigation purposes, safety awareness drills and informational meetings are commonplace. It's no surprise that these events also become community picnics and gatherings that make these projects even more meaningful.

A dedicated Board of Directors made up of permanent residents volunteer their time and energies to maintain the vision of those who developed the Highlands. They embark on projects designed to enhance life within the community for all.
